Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Rumford, RI is seeking a Maintenance Electrician on 2nd shift (3 pm - 11 pm). The role involves installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in a unionized facility with a 60-day probation period.

The position offers an hourly rate of $39.86 plus a $0.60 per hour shift premium; relocation not offered. Candidates must hold RI electrician license and OSHA forklift certification within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Rhode Island Electrician Journeyman's or Master license.
• Valid driver's license required.
• OSHA forklift license within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, and perform electrical installation, repair and maintenance of equipment and wiring.
• Diagnose and remedy faults quickly to minimize shutdowns.
• Install and wire motors for machine tools and control systems.
• Balance loads, lubricate panel boards, and maintain wiring diagrams.
• Prepare wiring diagrams and update drawings for maintenance programs.
• Assist in prototype or experimental machinery work and prepare prints.
• Coordinate with outside Electricians or Technicians as needed.
• Perform other maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, driving and moving equipment.
• Maintain air conditioning and boiler systems; perform routine machine maintenance.
• Direct and supervise helpers and participate in emergency response duties.
