Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) in Reno, NV. The role offers an hourly rate of $34.20 plus a $0.50 shift differential, with core hours 2:30PM–11:00PM.

You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical systems on plant equipment and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and 3+ years in industrial maintenance or an associated technical degree.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical/industrial maintenance or a related technical credential.
• Experience reading electrical/mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with CMMS and SAP.
• MS Office experience (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• No immigration sponsorship; candidates within 50-mile radius preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical malfunctions on plant machinery and facility systems.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair systems: PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, drives, vision systems, MCCs, DC/AC motors.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and ensure NEC compliance.
• Install and repair electrical systems, following drawings and schematics.
• Fabricate and machine as needed; operate lifts to reach elevated areas.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
