Job summary

Crown Battery Mfg. in Fremont, OH is seeking an IND Casting Operator for 2nd shift to operate and set up equipment, run mold/changeovers and produce alloyed grids to meet specs. This role works with the production supervisor and the floor team on a fast-paced line.

You will train new hires, perform SPC checks, handle daily paperwork, and adhere to Crown Quality System; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must meet required education, training and experience for a special skills position.
• Ability to follow safety, environmental rules and procedures.
• Experience with setting up and changing over equipment.
• Ability to train new hires.
• Able to identify and control non-conforming products.

Responsibilities

• Understand and practice safety and environmental rules.
• Follow policies, procedures, and instructions and report non-conformities.
• Set up, shut down, monitor and control machine operations within specs.
• Produce alloyed grids and ensure quality characteristics.
• Train new hires and perform light equipment maintenance.
