Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Hose Assembler for the 2nd shift in Menominee, Michigan. The role involves assembling hose components, setting up equipment, and ensuring quality standards are met.

The position is full-time with a Monday-Thursday schedule from 3:00 pm to 1:00 am and offers a competitive hourly rate with benefits and overtime potential. Typical responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, recording production data, and training others.

Qualifications

• Beginner level proficiency of blueprint reading.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Intermediate level of computer proficiency; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify tooling and equipment necessary to perform assigned operation.
• Follow start up and shut down procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust equipment as necessary and record same.
• Move materials as required using various methods.
• Perform assembly or sub-assembly processes including ringing and hand assembly.
• Maintain records of production, downtime and quality.
• Inspect work with measuring devices to meet quality standards.
• Recognize malfunctions and notify the proper person to correct.
• Perform machine setup and training for operators.
• Conduct preventative maintenance as required.
• Meet or exceed production requirements; escalate deviations.
• Maintain safe work practices and clean work area.
• Complete computer transactions in various software programs.
• Suggest productivity or safety improvements.
• Participate in other tasks as directed by Team Lead/Manager.
