Job summary

NSI Industries is seeking a Heavy Machine Operator for our Stratford, CT location to operate and maintain industrial machinery on the 2nd shift (3:45 PM – 11:45 PM). You will support production goals by ensuring safe, efficient machine operation and adherence to safety protocols.

The role requires basic equipment operation abilities and a commitment to working in a manufacturing setting with proper PPE. On-the-job training is provided to develop proficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to operate machines.
• On-the-job training provided.
• In approximately one month, candidate should have a good understanding of the job.

Responsibilities

• Check and inspect parts by using a gauge or visual and sign off on it at fixed intervals.
• Check machine, if it stops, notify Mechanic or Foreperson of any issues.
• Maintain housekeeping in your work area.
• Cover a machine for another employee when on break.
• Be safety conscious and wear all PPE required.
• May be asked to work in another department temporarily if needed.
• Follow Supervisor’s and Foreperson’s instructions; communicate with other employees.
