Job summary

NSI Industries is seeking a Heavy Machine Operator for our Stratford, CT location. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot heavy equipment to support production goals in a 1st shift (7:30AM–3:30 PM) environment.

Responsibilities include operating the die cast machine, inspecting parts, ensuring safety and PPE compliance, and assisting in other departments as needed. Applicants must be 18+, able to understand essential functions, and willing to on-the-job learn.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to operate machines.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Candidate should understand all essential functions within about one month.

Responsibilities

• Operates Die Cast Machine.
• Inspects parts using gauges or visually and signs off at fixed intervals.
• Notifies Mechanic/Foreperson if machine stops or issues arise.
• Maintains housekeeping in the work area.
• Covers a machine for another employee during breaks.
• Adheres to safety protocols and wears PPE.
• May work in another department temporarily if needed.
