Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a 2nd shift Harvest Production General Foreman to oversee the Harvest floor operations and lead the production team. You will direct supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.

The role requires excellent verbal and written communication, is bi-lingual helpful but not required, and a minimum of five years supervisory experience in a processing plant. We offer health care, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bi-lingual helpful, but not required.
• Extensive knowledge and technical skill in a variety of production jobs.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in processing plant industry.
• Sponsorship not available for external candidate
• Good Attendance Record (Less than 3 points for internal candidates)

Responsibilities

• Oversee entire Harvest floor production.
• Direct supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
• Train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and develop teamwork to attain department objectives.
• Review daily production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments.
• Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized.
• Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions.
• Other duties as assigned.
