Job summary

Wastequip's Toter Brand is hiring an Extrusion/Compounding Operator for our Statesville, NC manufacturing location. This full-time position provides great benefits, including health insurance, 401K, paid vacation and sick time. The operator sets up, starts up, and shuts down extrusion lines to safely produce quality resin at the desired output rate.

2nd shift runs 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Pay starts at $22.45 per hour with a $1 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English.
• Able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to work assigned shift.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety rules.
• High school diploma or equivalent mandatory.
• Able to obtain a forklift license.
• Operate forklift when necessary.
• Maintain production reports.
• Competence with air guns and machine controls.
• Color vision required.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor.
• Distinguish quality defects.
• Work under extreme heat conditions.
• Wear safety glasses, hearing protection and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to compound schedule and current blend.
• Sets up machine for production run.
• Monitors equipment for maintenance and safety issues.
• Writes and maintains accurate production reports.
• Operates blender per schedule.
• Confirms schedule and blend adherence.
• Follows all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Cleans hoppers and pelletizer; gathers materials; changes screens as needed.
• Monitors operation for quality and production rates.
• Conducts quality checks on produced resin.
• Uses required PPE.
• Maintains work area per safety and 5S standards.
• Performs other duties as needed.
