Job summary

Wastequip in Statesville, NC is seeking a Process Technician for 2nd shift to maintain and repair blow mold and injection mold equipment. You will troubleshoot machinery, assist with production goals, and help meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires hands-on mold operation, experience with robotics and hydraulics, forklift certification, and the ability to work with maintenance teams to reduce waste and downtime. 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM shift.

Qualifications

Forklift certification is required and on-site training is available.
3-5 years Injection and/or blow molding experience.
1-3 years robotics experience.
Experience with robotics, conveyors, sprue pickers.
Experience with McGuire blenders.
Experience in processing of HDPE.

Responsibilities

Produce quality plastic wheels, lids, and small components for trash cans.
Make adjustments to injection molding equipment to stay within specs.
Set up tools and molds, sample production molds, and set operating parameters.
Start-up and troubleshoot at the press; inspect parts for accuracy.
Connect hydraulics and pneumatics to molds; repair/replace as needed.
Make resin color changes on machines.
Assist Shift Supervisor in training Packer/Inspectors to ensure quality production.
Enter shift end production/downtime and quality data; monitor IQMS.
Report unsafe or out-of-spec equipment promptly.
Diagnose and repair production machinery in collaboration with Maintenance.
Reduce waste/scrap during mold changes; communicate issues.
Coordinate mold change schedules with plant resources.
Conduct preventative maintenance while tools are in machines.
