Job summary

Advanced Atomization Technologies, LLC in Clyde, NY is seeking a Group Leader I for the 2nd shift. The role provides technical and process direction to a team, assigns daily tasks with the Ops Leader, and focuses on efficiency, quality, and meeting customer due dates.

Responsibilities include assigning training, performing daily production tasks, backing up leadership, facilitating problem solving, and ensuring audits and safety checks are carried out. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• External candidates, 1 year of leadership in manufacturing preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists in assigning trainers for new hires and cross training initiatives
• Performs daily production tasks under supervision
• Works as a backup for the Ops Leader and Group Leader II when required
• Facilitates team problem solving and team meetings
• Oversees one or more work centers within a production area
• Maintains the T.I.B., Kamishibai Audits, 5S audits, TPM’s, Standard Work Audits and Safety Audits
• Partners with planners, manufacturing engineering and quality engineering to reduce errors and meet due dates
• Reviews discrepancies and ensures corrective action is implemented
• Participates in potential new hire interviews
• Group Leader I must have a working concept of LEAN principles
• Assist with PDCA activities as needed
• Determine skill level of individuals and provide input on development planning
