Job summary

GE Vernova in Pensacola, FL seeks an assembly technician to train on 1st shift with a primary 2nd shift. You will assemble, bend, form, and braze generator parts, working from drawings and instructions to prepare frames and stacking pits for stacking and winding operations.

You must have a high school diploma and be able to lift 35 lbs and stand most of your shift. The role requires basic mechanical skills, ability to operate electrical and pneumatic hand tools, and a proactive, safety-conscious

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Willing to work any shift and overtime including weekends.
Must lift at least 35 lbs and push/pull at least 50 lbs.
Must stand for long periods up to 95% of shift.

Responsibilities

Assemble, bend, form, mold, braze, tape, and stack generator parts and components.
Work from drawings, instructions and shop practices; obtain materials and prepare work area.
Set up and adjust machines; check parts for conformance and rework as needed.
Prepare frames and stacking pit for stacking operations; ensure proper alignment.
Operate machines and facilities using valves, levers, switches and pushbuttons.
Certify own work and complete QC forms or have it inspected.
Dispose of workpieces and store tools and facilities after use.
Follow safety procedures and cooperate with team for quality output.
