Tyson Foods seeks a 2nd shift supervisor for our Tennessee facility. You will oversee all production operations, supervise production supervisors, manage schedules, product rotation, and CCP verification. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.
Requirements include 3+ years in manufacturing supervision (or 2+ years at Tyson) and familiarity with processing floor operations; HACCP knowledge is preferred. Relocation and onsite daycare are available.
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role or 2+ years of Tyson supervisory experience.
Familiarity with processing floor operations preferred.
HACCP certification and a basic understanding of HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification preferred.
Knowledge of fresh meats processing preferred.
Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections using fixed ladders, stairs steps, etc. Able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility. The temperature in most of the areas range from 28°-45° Fahrenheit.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Basic computer skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management.
Team-leader, problem-solving, and motivation to take on special projects.
Responsible for all production operations at the facility. This includes managing all production supervisors’ departments, production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and overseeing the safety committee. This role includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop and improve in any deficient areas.
Some travel is required as needed.
