Tyson Foods is hiring for a supervisory role on the 2ND SHIFT. The position oversees the total operation of the assigned production area, ensuring safe, efficient manufacturing of quality products in line with company policies.

The role includes providing training and materials to supervisors, monitoring attendance, payroll, safety, ergonomics, and production yields, and analyzing non-routine problems to support the Plant Manager. Compliance with USDA and state regulations is required.

Qualifications

• Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 3 plus years general knowledge of production techniques, procedures, product yields and quality, and USDA and OSHA regulations.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
• Travel: As required.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.

Responsibilities

• Total operation of the assigned business area.
• Ensure efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products.
• Provide supervisors with information, materials, and training.
• Monitor records for attendance, payroll, production, safety, and ergonomics.
• Oversee daily operation and analyze non-routine problems, offering recommendations to the Plant Manager.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, Federal and State Regulations.
• Maintain operation of the assigned area including safety, yields, quality, staffing, and line speeds.
