Job summary

McGill Environmental Systems is seeking a dependable 2nd shift General Laborer to support operations at our composting and organics recycling facility. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and don't mind working outdoors, we want to hear from you. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.

Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs. Shift schedules may be adjusted to meet operational demands and company business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Keep grounds, ramps, screening areas, and shop facilities clean and organized.
• Perform weed eating, shoveling, painting, and other grounds maintenance tasks.
• Clean and prepare processing bays and production areas.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and routine maintenance activities.
• Support maintenance technicians with repair and upkeep projects.
• Organize tools, parts, and supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accountability for company-issued tools and equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties throughout the facility.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience in one or more of the following environments preferred: Manufacturing Industrial Facilities Construction Landscaping Agriculture Recycling Operations General Labor Environments
• Ability to work safely in a production environment
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work in an outdoor industrial environment
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to work around dust, dirt, mud, noise, and odors
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
