Job summary

McGill Environmental Systems in Morrisville, PA is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for the 3rd shift to transform organic waste into compost, mulch, and soil products. You will operate heavy equipment to move, process, blend, screen, and transport materials safely, supporting production and quality standards.

The role requires operating wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, backhoes, and other equipment, with pay at $31 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating wheel loaders, front-end loaders, skid steers, excavators, telehandlers, backhoes, or similar heavy equipment.
• Experience in composting, recycling, construction, landscaping, agriculture, manufacturing, mining, or industrial environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Hyundai HL960A and Hyundai HL970A Wheel Loaders, Front-End Loaders, Small Excavators, Skid Steers, Telehandlers, Backhoes, Grinders, Screeners, and other heavy equipment
• Load trucks and transport materials throughout the facility
• Perform blending and material processing operations
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks
• Identify and report maintenance needs or equipment issues
• Support production goals while maintaining quality standards
• Follow all company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and PPE requirements
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs
• Maintain a safe, productive, and efficient work environment
• Complete other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work on uneven terrain
• Ability to climb on and off heavy equipment throughout the shift
