Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Furnace Tender to operate and inspect furnaces and assist with die casting setup at our Sheboygan, WI facility. The role supports metal distribution, maintains melt temperatures, and ensures safe procedures in a high-heat environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and 1+ year forklift experience with a license. This is a fully site-based role with a 2nd shift schedule (3pm–1am) and union collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical diploma may be preferred.
• 1+ years of forklift experience with license.
• Experience in a die cast environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates furnace to melt aluminum ingots or scrap for die casting.
• Regulate furnace temperature and feed ingots to die cast machines; monitor and supply molten metal.
• Set up die casting cell including ladle, auto-spray, robotic and trim press machines; adjust as needed.
• Ensure safety when handling ladles, lift trucks, and pouring metal into furnaces.
