Baker Manufacturing Company, LLC in Evansville, Wisconsin is seeking a Foundry Furnace Operator to safely operate electric induction furnaces to melt metal for foundry production. This role requires close attention to temperatures, chemical composition, and production standards while maintaining strict safety procedures.

The position is second shift, with overtime and periodic Saturday overtime for furnace relining.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
• Ability to follow detailed operating instructions and production specs.
• Willingness to work second shift with overtime as needed.
• Experience in heavy-manufacturing or foundry environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor electric induction furnaces and related equipment.
• Prepare, charge, melt, treat, and transfer molten metal per procedures.
• Monitor furnace temperatures and controls; sample metals and adjust as needed.
• Maintain accurate production and process records.
• Inspect furnace linings, coils and controls for wear or safety issues.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure molten metal availability.
