Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Grand Prairie, Texas seeks a Front Line Leader for the 2nd Shift to guide up to 25 unionized manufacturing staff in delivering high quality gearboxes and transmissions. You’ll supervise daily production, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement in a fast paced shop environment.

You will partner with Process Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet throughput goals while controlling costs. This role requires strong leadership and a proactive, data-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred).
• 5 years of manufacturing or military experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Data-driven with sense of urgency.
• Capable of leveraging modern business systems and basic computer skills.
• Empowering team leader who encourages growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Assign, manage and direct daily manufacturing activities for up to 25 union employees.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering and Quality to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
• Direct CNC manufacturing activities with safety and efficiency focus.
• Conduct disciplines of employees when necessary.
• Manage in accordance with local union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Provide metrics-driven accountability: earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime.
• Collaborate across functions (Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Quality).
