Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of manufacturing experience as a caster/foundry worker.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read scales, rulers, blueprints and work orders accurately.
• Proficiency with hand tools (pliers, wrenches, hammers, chisels) and measuring equipment.
• Experience reading digital thermometers for temperature monitoring.
• Skilled in operating foundry machinery with safety at the forefront.
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and preheat permanent and sand molds to ensure optimal casting conditions.
• Prepare elements before installation on molds and install them onto molds.
• Melt metals, monitor temperatures, and ensure alloy composition meets specs.
• Pour aluminum into molds and inspect finished castings for defects.
• Maintain furnaces, molds, and equipment; keep a clean, safe work area.
• Move materials within the foundry and keep detailed usage records.
