Job summary

Durex Industries, part of Spirax Group, is seeking a Supervisor for Forming on the 2nd shift in the Cary, IL area. You will lead manufacturing flow, ensure component movement, and support ERP/MES transactions while coordinating with multiple departments.

This role emphasizes leadership, data-driven improvements, and strong communication. Key responsibilities include managing shipping/receiving, supporting cycle counts, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Operations or related discipline preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience in a discrete manufacturing environment.
• Strong process discipline and data analysis capabilities.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and sustain newly implemented processes.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement of production components across shop floor and departments; provide status updates to teams.
• Attend department meetings; manage action items and follow up for completion.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning, Shipping & Receiving, and others as needed.
• Support Supervisors and Team Leads in prioritizing and reconciling components and assemblies.
• Manage Shipping and Receiving, including barcode and labeling equipment operation.
• Expedite assemblies through manufacturing and shipping processes; serve as BPO for barcode/labeling systems.
• Ensure material movement and transaction accuracy in MES/SFM; track MO documentation.
• Create and follow-up MRBs and CARs; participate in cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Generate daily production progress reports and reconcile ERP transactions.
