Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift to safely receive, store and ship food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, RF scanners and related equipment.

Under supervision, you will load and unload freight, stack and store merchandise, check for accuracy and damage, and keep a clean, safe work area. Requires HS diploma or GED and at least 3 months of experience; overtime and weekend availability preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using proper equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise and assemble orders for shipment.
• Check freight for accuracy, damage and infestation and label and wrap as directed.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners in a safe manner per OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean, orderly environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
