Job summary

KEY Personnel, Inc. in Holland, MI seeks a Forklift Operator for our Holland, Michigan site. This temp-to-hire role focuses on forklift operation and material handling on a busy shop floor.

Responsiblities include changing LP gas or battery, moving pallets, stacking material, and ensuring loads are secure and containers are identified. A PIT license is required, and familiarity with TS16949/ISO-14001 procedures is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures located at K:/winapps/data/TS Team/Procedures
• Must be able to obtain a PIT License

Responsibilities

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive forklift and control movement of lifting device
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under/around loaded pallets and transports to designated area
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device
• Maintains safety precautions on shop floor
• Keeps finished goods area organized and in FIFO
• Monitors inventory of baskets for production and notifies Supervisor of shortages
• Keeps lines running by supporting them with empty racks/containers and moving parts to and from machines
• Assists production on machinery when necessary
