Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Thorp, Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated forklift operator to join our production team on the second shift. You will move materials safely around the plant, load units, and help maintain an organized, efficient workspace.

Candidates should have proven forklift experience, be comfortable with heights and manual handling, and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. HS diploma or GED required; overtime may be required on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Proven forklift operator experience.
• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Preferably 1 year experience in manufacturing setting.
• Valid forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to lift/pull/push materials onto forks from elevated heights across the plant.
• Follow safety procedures including wearing and securing harness.
• Read/interpret schedules and tickets to locate parts.
• Use measuring tape to 16th inch.
• Work at elevated heights up to 20 ft as needed.
• Move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality issues.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Inspect machinery and participate in routine maintenance for safety.
• Comply with company policies and keep the facility safe and orderly.
• Occasionally assist on the production floor operating machines as trained.
