Batavia Container in Batavia, IL is seeking a Full Time Forklift Operator to move, locate, relocate, stack and count materials on the production floor. You will study schedules, oversee inventory accuracy, unload shipments, and ensure safe handling of products.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, strong documentation, and a focus on safety. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Move product materials around production floor.
• Study production schedule to determine material requirements, movements and deliveries.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
• Unload product materials from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Adhere to documented policies and procedures defining safe operation and safety concerns.
• Complete required documentation and daily vehicle checklists.
• Identify problems with job-related equipment or vehicles.
• Ensure material or finished product is delivered to the destination on time without damage.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and perform daily equipment checks.
• Maintain vehicle appearance, including cleaning and painting when required.
• Identify potential or existing non-conforming conditions or material.
• Collect bills of lading and verify quantities on incoming trucks.
• Support procedures and work instructions including food safety programs, OSHA regulations and PPE.
