Job summary

Barton Staffing Solutions is seeking a Material Handler/Driver for the 2nd shift to support a high-quality manufacturing client in Illinois. The role involves unloading and verifying materials, labeling and distributing stock, and safely transporting products locally.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, 1–3 years material handling experience, and basic computer skills. Competitive hourly pay with a shift differential is offered, along with standard benefits.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1–3 years material handling experience.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle for local deliveries.
Ability to read scales and rulers.
Basic math skills.
Computer skills: Word and Excel.
Work independently or under supervision.
Strong communication with team and management.
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Unload, check and compare materials to purchase orders; verify counts and part numbers.
Receive and store materials; prepare materials for use in production areas.
Safely transport products to and from a local vendor as required.
Maintain records reflecting receipts and disbursements.
Operate forklift as required.
Fill pick tickets and kits as requested.
Label and distribute material to departments and locations.
