Dauch Corporation is seeking a reliable Production Lift Truck Driver for the 2nd shift in the Chicago area. The role focuses on safely transporting materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting shipping and receiving to ensure uninterrupted production.

The position requires forklift experience, basic computer skills, and a commitment to safety. Candidates may obtain certification upon hire and should be available for overtime as business needs require.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year forklift operating experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Basic computer skills and RF scanner experience preferred.
• Ability to read shipping documents, work orders, and inventory labels.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Overtime and weekend availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts following OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Supply production lines with materials according to schedules.
• Stage materials for production, shipping, and storage.
• Verify material quantities, labels, and locations before movement.
• Use RF scanners or warehouse systems to complete inventory transactions.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report equipment issues.
• Assist with counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Follow safety, quality, environmental, and company policies.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
