Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a full-time Material Handler on the 2nd shift (3PM-11PM) with training on the 1st shift (7AM-3PM) for about 90–120 days in our industrial manufacturing plant. You will operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished product, stage materials for production, and help load trucks.

Key requirements include 2+ years forklift experience, strong safety awareness, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, basic math and computer skills, and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years forklift experience (heavy materials preferred).
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished product
• Load flatbed trucks with steel materials
• Stage materials for production
• Perform basic inventory entries and cycle counts
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Inspect product quality
