Arcosa Shoring Products in Houston, TX seeks a foreman for the 2nd shift to oversee and schedule daily CNC tasks. You will supervise a crew, review equipment and activities, and ensure compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and involves collaboration with managers and safety teams. The position requires at least 2 years in a supervisory role in shoring, ability to read blueprints, and strong decision-making under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role in shoring.
• Experience directing crews and ensuring safety compliance.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Ability to work under high-stress conditions and changing environments.
• Willingness to work on evenings/shifts and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CNC work area including lathes and mills.
• Review daily activities, equipment, and sites for standards and OSHA compliance.
• Delegate tasks to crew based on capabilities and project requirements.
• Meet with managers to resolve conflicts and ensure client standards.
• Train new crew members and provide ongoing education on specs.
• Direct layout on subassemblies and final products and inspect welds.
• Mark weld points and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Maintain safety rules and complete required records.
• Participate in safety committees or initiatives as needed.

Arcosa Shoring Products is looking for a foreman for our Houston, TX plant for our 2ndshift. In this role, you will oversee and schedule daily tasks for the crew, collaborating with other team members as needed. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Schedule: 4:00 pm - 1:45 am

What you\'ll do:

• Manage a CNC work area that consists of lathes and mills
• Review all project activities, work equipment, and sites every day to make sure everything is performed to company standards as well as to the latest OSHA regulations and standards
• Delegate jobs to team members as determined by their capabilities and the general requirements of specific work projects and site parameters
• Meet with other managers/supervisors and necessary personnel as required in order to fully resolve conflicts, complications, and other issues according to company and client standards/requirements
• Train new crew members and provide workers with continuing education so that all work meets the most current specifications
• Direct layout on complex subassemblies and final products
• Check and monitor the fit-up and completion of final welds and/or multi-pass welds
• Layout and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Maintain and complete all required records
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives

What you\'ll need:

• 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/foreman position in the Shoring Industry
• Able to give direction and make decisions related to finances, the company’s reputation, and crew members
• Min 2 years of knowledge in welding
• Able to read blueprints
• Ability to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• High school diploma or its equivalent preferred

Working Conditions:

• Hourly full-time position
• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
