Job summary

Ventura Foods is seeking a Sanitation Operator to disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food processing machinery, following all food safety practices to meet customer needs daily. This onsite role in Ontario, CA offers an hourly wage with strong emphasis on GMP and safety.

You will perform cleaning, inspections, and routine tasks while maintaining safety standards. We value candidates with a High School Diploma/GED and sanitation experience; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of sanitation experience preferred.
• Forklift license/certification preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning and production equipment safely.
• Ability to read safety data sheets and chemical labels.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to worker safety, GMP, food safety and customer-specific practices; keep areas clean and hazard-free.
• Perform cleaning on all process equipment; complete inspections and follow SSOPs.
• Clean throughout the facility, including lunchroom, locker room, hand wash sinks, and waste areas.
• Perform daily pre-cleaning tasks ensuring PPE is available and used.
• Notify management of safety or quality issues; complete paperwork and assist with line setup and inventory checks.
