Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Inspector – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our Oxnard, CA team. The position is 100% onsite and operates on a 2nd shift (2:30pm-12am) with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

The role performs inspections on mechanical, electrical, or structural spacecraft components, interprets drawings, and ensures conformance with quality requirements. US Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and gages for dimensional inspection.
• Must be able to read drawings and specifications.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products.
• Perform required inspections on spacecraft components.
• Uses measuring devices such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, pin gages, and CMM.
• This job has decision-making responsibilities with regards to the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.
• Inspects and performs tests on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies related to spacecraft components and sub-assemblies.
• Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
• Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.
• Must be able to work 2nd Shift 2:30pm-12am
• Other duties as assigned
