Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Fitting & Welding Shop Foreman to direct daily fabrication and production activities on the second shift.

You will provide hands-on leadership to shop personnel, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards and schedules. The role requires supervisory experience, strong English communication, and a solid understanding of the steel fabrication industry.

Qualifications

• Managerial or supervisory experience is required.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Detailed knowledge of industry.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance for shop employees.
• Adhere to and enforce all company policies.
• Manage all aspects of the fabrication shop, including personnel, equipment, tools, materials.
• Update and maintain the production schedule.
• Update and maintain the fabrication schedule.
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries.
• Establish and publish standard fabrication procedures.
• Maintain quality standards and quality control to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.
• continually evaluate production procedures to increase efficiency and quality.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure project schedules are met.
• Maintain equipment and buildings as applicable.
• Communicate with other departments and facilities regarding product status, quality, and delivery.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Make decisions in the best interests of the company.
• Maintain a balanced workload and report to Regional Fabrication Operations Manager as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels as needed and discussed with First Shift Foreman, Regional Fabrication Operations Manager and Purchasing.
• Determine work hours to maintain delivery schedules.
