Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to join our team on the 2nd shift.

This hands-on leadership role directs daily fabrication and production activities, ensures safety, quality and on-time delivery, and collaborates with project management, logistics, purchasing and other facilities. The Foreman provides supervision of shop personnel, maintains schedules, coordinates deliveries, and establishes standard fabrication procedures while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• Managerial or supervisory experience required
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Detailed knowledge of industry
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
• Must be able to work 2nd shift schedule as well as overtime and Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance for shop employees
• Adhere to and enforce all company policies
• Manage all aspects of the fabrication shop, including personnel, equipment, tools, materials, etc.
• Update and maintain the production schedule
• Update and maintain the fabrication schedule
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries
• Establish and publish standard fabrication procedures
• Maintain quality standards and QC procedures to ensure timely, quality products
• Evaluate production procedures to improve efficiency and quality
• Communicate with other departments to ensure project schedules are met
• Maintain equipment and buildings as applicable
• Communicate with other departments and facilities regarding product status, quality, and delivery
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Make decisions in the company’s best interests
• Maintain a balanced workload and provide feedback to leadership
• Maintain inventory levels in coordination with leadership and purchasing
• Determine work hours to maintain delivery schedules
