Job summary

WEG Transformers USA in Washington, Missouri is seeking a Final Assembler - A/C for the 2nd shift to help manufacture transformers. You will read BOMs and drawings, select materials, assemble sub-assemblies and verify proper installation of auxiliary devices in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Complies with safety and ethics policies; understands role is Safety Sensitive with drug screening.
• Reads BOM, drawings, schematics and work instructions; performs basic math.
• Must hold current US work authorization.
• Available for evening or night shifts and possible weekends.
• Resides within commuting distance of Washington, Missouri.
• Communicates effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Interpret BOMs, drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete assignments independently.
• Prepare and assemble materials, tools, and components; assemble sub-assemblies including air compartments onto transformer tanks.
• Install and verify correct installation of auxiliary devices; torque mark all bolted connections.
• Dismantle, rework and repair units as required, inside and outside the tank.
• Prepare unit for painting; operate lifting devices; finish unit for shipment.
• Support quality by identifying oil leaks and maintaining production records.
