Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Field Superintendent for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - midnight) to manage day-to-day construction activities, supervise craft employees and subcontractors, and coordinate with the project schedule. You will ensure safety, quality, and cost control while guiding teams through Lean planning and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong supervision, scheduling, and cost control experience, with a focus on relentless execution and safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years supervisory experience in similar construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
• Understanding construction scheduling and cost control and the ability to supervise employees and subcontractors is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists in or conducts review of shop drawings and design conflicts, manages Quality Control and Safety responsibilities and subcontractor coordination.
• Assists in or manages selection of equipment, construction methods, and sequencing of operations.
• Participates in subcontractor meetings and LEAN planning implementation.
• Monitors daily progress and mitigates risks with project leaders.
• Ensures safety plans are executed and enforced on site.
• Directs project controls and cost management to meet schedules.
• Oversees craft teams, training, and performance feedback on self-perform work.
• Manages manpower, equipment, material, and subcontract activities per schedule.
• Supports preconstruction and business development when directed.
