Join us at Thern, and help move the world, one part at a time.

Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate the Ficep machine to accurately drill steel parts according to production drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints to ensure correct dimensions and tolerances are met throughout the production process.
• Ensure proper machine alignment, fixturing, cutting tools, and materials are selected and installed based on each job’s technical requirements.
• Calculate and adjust machining parameters such as speed, feed rate, coolant flow, and depth or angle of cut to optimize quality and efficiency.
• Input or update machine control programs following established procedures and job instructions.
• Start up the machine and monitor performance throughout the operation, making real-time adjustments to address malfunctions, tool wear, or tolerance issues.
• Perform routine quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures) to verify part accuracy and ensure parts meet required standards.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts using overhead cranes, or other material-handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conduct regular machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, and checking for wear, to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with your team and shift lead to maintain consistent workflow and communicate any quality, equipment, or material issues promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your teammates.

Qualifications:
• Prior experience operating CNC or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measurement.
