Moog is seeking a Solder Technician for the 2nd shift in Highland Heights, OH. You will perform hand soldering on PCBs, inspect with microscopes, and read blueprints in an ESD-controlled environment.

The role requires strong attention to detail and a track record of high-quality workmanship. The position offers onsite work in Cleveland, OH with a 3:30pm–12:00am schedule Monday–Friday and opportunities for IPC-001/IPC-A-610 certifications.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hand soldering experience in a manufacturing or electronics production environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of microscope inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from assembly drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Ability to distinguish colors as required for component identification and quality inspection.
  • Must pass pre-employment screenings including a color vision assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow work instructions, drawings, blueprints, processes, and procedures to perform hand soldering per quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Use microscopes and inspection equipment to solder, assemble, rework, and repair wires, cables, and small electronic components on PCBs and assemblies.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance; report defects or issues promptly.
  • Work in an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controlled environment and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
  • Keep training and certifications up to date and support production goals.

You will report to the Production Supervisor and have an onsite, 2nd shift work schedule in Highland Heights, Ohio. (3:30pm to 12:00am Monday to Friday)**To be considered for this role, here’s what you need to bring with you:*** High School diploma or GED preferred.
