Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring a Feed Mill Receiving Clerk for the Harrisonburg facility on 2nd shift (2:30 pm–10:30 pm). You will unload corn trains, rail cars, and trucks, print tickets, and help keep the receiving area and re-claim system running.

A HS diploma is preferred and you must be dependable and punctual. The role offers a base rate of $21.75 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, plus benefits after 60 days, PTO, 401(k) matching, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Able to work well with others and without direct supervision.
• Able to work in a dusty environment.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Excellent attendance, safety and work record.
• Ability to operate machinery including Train locomotive.

Responsibilities

• Unload corn trains - 75 to 150 cars per week.
• Unload other rail cars - 20 to 50 per week.
• Unload bulk ingredients trucks - around 20 per week.
• Unload bag ingredients trucks.
• Load out corn trucks.
• Print receiving and load out scale tickets.
• Keep corn reclaim system running.
• Clean in the receiving and other areas of the mill.
• Fill in other areas in the mill as needed.
