Job summary

Motion, located in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Fabricator for 2nd shift to produce belts and hoses and support heavy-duty fabrication operations. The role involves using mechanical equipment, power tools, and manual handling in a climate-controlled industrial environment.

Starting pay is $20.50 per hour with raises every 6 months for the first 36 months plus a $1.00 shift differential. The position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand work orders with instruction.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate lightweight and heavy-duty belts and hoses per work orders.
• Operate and set up mechanical equipment and power tools safely.
• Perform material handling, cutting, splicing, and final assembly tasks.
• Maintain quality and keep work area clean and organized.
