Job summary

Motion Industries in Cedar Rapids is seeking a skilled Fabricator to produce belts and hoses across multiple fabrication disciplines. You will read work orders, set up equipment, cut, splice and assemble components, and ensure accuracy to specifications.

This on-site role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, operating power tools and forklifts safely, and adhering to safety standards. Starting pay is $20.50 per hour with progressive raises every 6 months for the first 36 months, with benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Lift up to 70 lbs occasionally and 35 lbs frequently.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate lightweight and heavy-duty belts and hoses.
• Operate fabrication equipment and power tools.
• Cut rubber parts and perform splicing/fabrication.
• Forklift operation and material handling.
• Follow safety guidelines and quality standards.
