Job summary

Sub-Zero Group, Inc. in the Madison area is seeking a supervisor for the fabrication team. This role will oversee 25-30 staff on the 2nd shift (M-F, 2:00pm-10:00pm), collaborate with engineers and other supervisors, and ensure safety, quality, and timely production.

You will plan operations, assign work, coach cross-training, enforce PPE and housekeeping, drive continuous improvement, and assist with scheduling and manpower planning. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising fabrication teams.
• Collaboration with engineers and other supervisors to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises 25–30 fabrication staff to meet safety, quality, cost and housekeeping standards.
• Plan operations, man-hours, materials and workflow to ensure timely production and quality.
• Organize and assign work; cross-train and support employees in their tasks.
• Enforce safety devices and PPE; maintain housekeeping and identify hazardous conditions.
• Drive safety initiatives, quality measures and continuous improvement efforts.
• Coordinate with internal groups to support cost reduction, scheduling and manpower planning.
• Support employee communications, training, development, and adherence to policies.
