Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Roebuck, SC is seeking a Fabrication Quality Inspector for 2nd shift to audit in-process fabricated goods and assembled components for compliance with drawings and quality standards.

Shift hours are 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm; hourly pay is $27.80 plus a $1.25 shift differential. The role requires experience with measurement tools, blueprints, SAP, and electrical/mechanical inspection. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in quality auditing and inspection (mechanical and electrical).
• Proficiency reading blueprints and Bills of Materials.
• Competence with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, scales, torque wrenches, optical comparators).
• Familiarity with sheet-metal fabrication (punching, bending, tapping, spot welding).
• Experience with metal forming (bending, coining, welding).
• Experience with metal finishing (powder coat, electroplating, epoxy coating).
• Experience with electrical testing (HIPOT) and mechanical assembly.
• SAP transactions related to material movements and scrap handling.

Responsibilities

• Audit in-process fabricated goods and assembled components for compliance with drawings and quality standards.
• Document and distribute audit results effectively.
• Identify non-conforming materials and initiate NCR process to prevent release.
• Perform inspections and tests on purchased, fabricated, manufactured, and assembled products for compliance.
• Conduct ISIR/PPAP inspections for new or revised components.
• Assist in manufacturing setup to verify materials, parts, tools, methods, and sequences.
• Serve as training resource for proper assembly of products.
• Perform Initial Sample Inspections at startup or changeover of new or revised product assemblies.
• Conduct installation and testing of electrical components as needed.
• Assist in the RGA material handling process.
• Willing to shift to 3rd shift as needed for coverage.
