Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an entry-level Production Operator for the extrusion line, focusing on assembling window material components, following safety rules in a fast-paced environment. The role involves repetitive tasks on an assembly line, lifting up to 50 lbs, operating hand and power tools, and cross-training across departments; 2nd shift 2pm-10pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble.
• Cross-trained in multiple functions within and between multiple department lines.
• Lifting requirements: 20 lbs. frequently; 40 lbs. occasionally for light production; and 40 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally for heavy production.
• Employees are required to stand or walk on a concrete floor surface for up to a twelve-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• The Production Operator assembles building material components.
• Performs repetitive jobs on an assembly line under supervision.
• Inserts or positions materials, clamps, splices, and fits parts with hand and power tools.
• Follows all safety procedures to prevent injuries to self and co-workers.
