Job summary

PPG is hiring an Entry Level Lab Technician onsite in Cleveland, Ohio. This role performs routine lab operations in a quality assurance setting and includes training.

It is a 2nd shift position with options for 2PM-10PM or 3PM-11PM, with full training provided to get up to speed on procedures and equipment. Responsibilities include conducting measurements, performing various chemical analyses, assisting with equipment setup, and recording data for experiments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Candidates with some science background preferred.
• Must be able to stand for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance setting.
• Duties include making measurements.
• Conducts routine quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses per procedures.
• Assists higher level technicians in setup and data recording for experiments.
• Uses various instruments to prepare for and perform tests (training provided).
• Performs routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.
