2nd Shift Production Operator
Location & Work Schedule
Murphy, NC – Onsite, 2nd Shift
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English.
- Proficiency in simple arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience soldering or ability to become certified.
- Good eyesight with the ability to distinguish colors; good hand dexterity and range of motion.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs frequently and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Capability to work with and around strong electromagnetic fields.
- Requirement: Access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electromechanical products using documentation and tooling for rotor, stator sub‑assembly, motor assembly and other components.
- Operate machine stripper or hand tool to remove insulation from lead wire.
- Install lead‑wire pin connectors.
- Operate stator potting mixer/applicator; apply varnish to stator winding and glue/activator by brush to stator and rotor assemblies.
- Operate mold transfer press and attach heat sink to circuit board, applying potting compound.
- Complete final motor/drive assembly and test motor/drive for performance per specifications.
- Load and monitor automated machinery.
- Prepare and package final motor/drive assembly.
- Complete cross‑training in all operations.
- Perform physical tasks as needed: sit or stand for long periods, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
- Work overtime as required, incl. Saturdays.
