Job summary

Thai Summit America Corporation in Howell, Michigan seeks a Skilled Trades Electrician for the 2nd shift. The Press Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, maintain, repair and optimize electrical, electromechanical and electronic systems on stamping presses to maximize equipment availability and safety in a fast-paced automotive environment.

You will diagnose and reprogram PLCs (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Siemens), operate HMI systems, VFDs and servo drives, perform preventive maintenance

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
3–5 years manufacturing experience.
Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and machine maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
Direct experience working with mechanical/hydraulic press controls, press safety blocks, light curtains, die protection sensors, and automation feeders.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain large presses and press systems across multiple platforms/generations.
Diagnose and reprogram PLCs (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI systems, VFDs, and servo drives.
Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) on machine/equipment.
Maintain adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash (NFPA 70E), machine guarding, and OSHA/OHSA regulations.
Provide support in supplying quality parts; collaborate with Production Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production.
