Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial robots in automotive stamping/heavy manufacturing.
• Advanced proficiency in ABB (S4/IRC5/OmniCore) or Yaskawa Motoman.
• Familiarity with press automation systems and PLC communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Program, touch up, and optimize path movements for robots handling sheet metal blanks and inter-press transfer.
• Install, repair, and align End-Of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) including vacuum cups and pneumatic grippers.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and communication issues on robots, controllers, and teach pendants.
• Modify teach pendant code (TP, KRL, Rapid) to reduce cycle times and prevent collisions.
• Perform scheduled robot preventive maintenance, axis mastering, and hydraulic/pneumatic checks.
• Maintain Lockout/Tagout, safety zones, light curtains, area scanners, and PLC-to-robot handshakes.
