Job summary

Thai Summit America Corporation in Howell, Michigan is seeking a Plant Team Leader (2nd shift) at Plant 2 to supervise press operations. The role focuses on directing production associates, ensuring schedules, safety, and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, about 1 year of press experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and basic computer skills including MS Office and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year press experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) and ERP system.
• Ability to train others on job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct and train Associates with no responsibility for hiring or firing decisions.
• Promote continuous improvement and maintain productivity.
• Respond to Associates concerns and provide information in a timely manner.
• Verify material usage, downtime and product quality.
• Analyze causes of process variations and develop countermeasures.
• Create and maintain reports and related document files.
• Follow company policies and report violations as they occur.
• Assist Facilitator in creating work instructions.
• In the absence of the Facilitator, work with other Facilitators to run the day as planned.
• Promote safety standards on the plant floor.
• Complete Layered Process Audits for Chrysler jobs.
