Georgia-Pacific is hiring an Electrical Technician for a 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and requires the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems in a fast-paced plant environment.

Starting pay ranges from $45.50 to $51.00 per hour, with a $2 shift differential and potential for a quarterly bonus up to 6%.

Qualificações

• At least 3 years of verifiable experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Technician in an industrial electrical role.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, sensors, control wiring, and industrial machinery.
• Commitment to safety and following electrical/mechanical best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and electrical equipment to improve reliability.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance to identify defects before failure.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, starters, sensors, and control circuits.
• Read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical prints.
• Diagnose electrical failures related to AC/DC motors, VFDs, and control systems.
• Support safe equipment startup, shutdown, and recovery activities.
• Partner with operations and mechanical techs to minimize downtime.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
