Job summary

A leading bearing manufacturer in Elgin, Illinois seeks an Electrical Technician for the 2nd shift. The role involves troubleshooting PLC-based control systems in automated production machinery. Candidates should possess an Associate Degree or equivalent experience, and a strong understanding of electronics and mechanics. Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot automated production machinery and repair as necessary.
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components of machines.
• Plan layout and install wiring and electrical apparatus.

Skills

Working knowledge of mechanics

Knowledge of PLC input/output module

Ability to read and design electrical schematic drawings

Basic knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)

Knowledge of electronic motors

Ability to solve practical problems
