Job summary

American NTN Bearing Manufacturing seeks an Electrical (IACS) Technician to troubleshoot PLC-based controls on CNC turning, drilling and grinding machines. You will monitor, modify and write PLC programs and plan wiring layouts for industrial equipment.

Starting wage is $28.00 with 3rd shift +$3.00 and 2nd shift +$2.50 differentials. Overtime possible; strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience and High School Diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics.
• Ability to read and design electrical schematic drawings.
• Understand AC to DC power supply.
• Knowledge of PLC input/output module and function. Ability to read and understand Ladder Logic program.
• Basic knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
• Basic knowledge of Servo Control functions.
• Knowledge of electronic motors, including 3-phase, single phase, AC motors, and DC motors.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot automated production machinery, identify root cause for trouble and repair as necessary.
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical and electronic components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, positions, sensing devices, printed circuit boards and PLC's.
• Safely connect power to machines and equipment, and control wires between machines and monitor equipment.
• Replace damaged sensors.
• Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Test motor insulation.
• Maintain interior and exterior lighting systems.
